First Presbyterian Church of Middletown

Entrance & Fellowship Addition

Middletown, Ohio

This 11,000 sf addition began as an accessibility study intended to render a church and education wing handicap-accessible to all five separate floor levels. The final solution includes a large gathering space that is on the same level as the church sanctuary — adjacent the main parking lot by way of a gracious new plaza. The exterior is designed to match the existing 1940s colonial façade by noted local architect Charles Cellarius.
