Crossroads’ popularity and rapid growth prompted an expansion of the first phase of this project, for which Champlin transformed an old HQ warehouse into a new church home — an opportunity offered by ample parking, a large flexible existing building, and a site with room to grow. Phase II successfully introduces a $20 million expansion that includes a new 3500 seat auditorium and triples the size of the Kids’ Club facility, all centered on the elliptical atrium gathering space. Raw... edgy... contemporary materials such as metal siding, stained concrete and wire mesh propagate the non-traditional worship aesthetic desired by the congregation.
