South Hospital Emergency Dept. St. Elizabeth Medical Center Edgewood, Kentucky

The Emergency Department was doubled in size to provide both space for expanded treatment needs as well as accompanying patient and visitor waiting. Motivated by the desire to offer an attractive, quieter environment, hard, durable, maintainable materials are softened with curved edges, and space is subtlety subdivided, creating a more soothing aesthetic than is typical for such a facility.
