A complete gut and redo is underway, transforming this ICU into a patient and staff-friendly setting. Patient beds are visible thru sliding glass doors from central nurses stations. Alcoves for computer-on-wheels (cow) with windows between rooms allows nurses to chart and maintain visual contact. Extremely narrow exterior windows are being enlarged, allowing for enhanced views and natural light.
