This new Emergency Dept. provides trauma space, evaluation and treatment areas, a minor procedure room, and a separate Heart ED Unit. This unit was designed for intense observation of heart patients who may be discharged following 23 hours of physiological monitoring and evaluation. A new ED entrance with a bold, glazed canopy imparts a modern, yet human-scaled feature at this urban medical center.
