Champlin/Haupt
led the restoration team for this National Register 1929 Art
Deco landmark. Façade cleaning, window replacement, and polishing
of ornamental metalwork had to meet preservation standards. Interior
renovation involved the cleaning of marble and decorative plasterwork,
the restoration of bronze light fixtures, and the addition of a security
station while maintaining its original use: to house telephone switchgear.
