South Campus Central Chiller Plant

The South Campus Central Chiller Plant will provide an efficient and dependable source of chilled water to the Medical Center and all associated buildings in the campus zone. The chiller plant is being constructed to meet the immediate needs of Ross, Doan, James and Cramblet Halls, as well as the new Medical Center tower. The plant will have an initial chiller capacity of 15,000 tons, expandable to 30,000 tons. As Architect of Record, Champlin provided overall guidance for the design team and coordination with all users, customers, and stakeholders in the project. Champlin coordinated the design efforts of a nationally recognized team of experts including Ross Barney Architects and R M F Engineering.
