This $61 million 8-story expansion results in a dramatic skyline for the hospital. The challenging project consisted of infilling a courtyard and building atop four separate structures. The expansion increases the capacity of the Emergency Department by 50 percent and includes a new ambulance drop off and patient entry, as well as expansion of the Cardiology Unit, Outpatient Diagnostic services, a 24-bed ICU unit and new MRI. The end result is a 300,000 sf addition that expands nearly every service area of the hospital and provides space for future growth.
